The Land Love Journal project seeds were planted in 2023 in Herefordhsire, England. A moment between a father receiving palliative care, and a daughter looking into uncertainty. Drawings made together depicting half remebered moments in wild places.

These pocket-sized books have become a celebration of our precious green spaces, habitats and memories. The project is the beginning of a library of concertina landscapes.

The journals help us connect - to landscapes and to each other. And highlight the stake we have in our environments, strengthening our roles as custodians.
We are activists, finding our voices, story-telling, noticing, recording and responding. We are ‘LOOKING UP MORE’.

Chapter one: ‘Flux and Flow’ - a response to fields, hedgerows, and ancient woodland here in a village in Somerset, UK, all at risk from a proposal of mass development.
September 2024: 80 collaborative journals made by 97 contributors.

Chapter two: ‘Land Love journals in the Jubilee Wood’ - exploring the radical power of close attention - looking with care to help us grow to protect
February 2025 - ongoing
