The Matchboxes - these small, domestic, recyclable objects - familiar, often overlooked - became sites for quiet reflection…

“They carry a tension between the disposable and the meaningful.
They speak of transformation, ritual, and care.
They ask us to slow down, to look closely.”

“100 Days In My Pocket” is a daily practice of attention - a way of investigating the connection between internal and external landscapes. Over 100 days, I committed to looking, pausing, and responding to the land around me, recognising my role as artist, witness, custodian, and collaborator.

The project explores how we make meaning through place: how land holds memory, how dialogue becomes material, and how collective acts can reveal new ways of seeing and belonging.
